Contents of the report:During our research on the
level difficulty in Match-3 games we discovered that several factors impact the success of Royal Match, including a high frequency of near-loss and almost win moments. These moments add excitement and create an engaging gaming experience. But how does the game create them?
Our hypothesis was that the engaging experience might be linked to auto-matches that built in the game's internal algorithms. To test this, we carried out an in-depth analysis of the frequency of auto-matches and the number of boosters generated during gameplay, and investigated whether there are any conditions that cause changes in these factors.
